What We Believe
As Presbyterians, we share the historic Christian faith, centered in Jesus Christ and shaped by the Reformed tradition. Here are some of our core convictions:
- God’s Sovereign Love – God is the creator and ruler of all, and God’s love is the source of our life and salvation.
- Jesus Christ – We trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, whose life, death, and resurrection reveal God’s redeeming love.
- The Holy Spirit – God’s Spirit gives us faith, equips us with gifts, and empowers us to live as Christ’s disciples.
- Scripture – The Bible is our guide for faith and life, inspired by God’s Spirit and interpreted within the community of believers.
- Sin and Brokenness – We believe all people fall short of God’s will. Sin separates us from God, one another, and creation. Yet God does not abandon us—through Jesus Christ, sin is forgiven, and life is made new.
- Grace & Faith – We are saved by God’s grace, not by our own efforts. Our response is to live in gratitude, faith, and service.
- Community – Faith is lived out together. In worship, sacraments (Baptism and the Lord’s Supper), and fellowship, we grow in love for God and neighbor.
- Justice & Mission – Following Christ’s example, we seek peace and justice, welcoming all people and working for the common good.
In all things, we affirm that “Jesus Christ is Lord,” and that we are called to glorify God in how we worship, learn, serve, and live together.
