What We Believe
As Presbyterians, we share the historic Christian faith, centered in Jesus Christ and shaped by the Reformed tradition. Here are some of our core convictions:
- God’s Sovereign Love – God is the creator and ruler of all, and God’s love is the source of our life and salvation.
- Jesus Christ – We trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, whose life, death, and resurrection reveal God’s redeeming love.
- The Holy Spirit – God’s Spirit gives us faith, equips us with gifts, and empowers us to live as Christ’s disciples.
- Scripture – The Bible is our guide for faith and life, inspired by God’s Spirit and interpreted within the community of believers.
- Sin and Brokenness – We believe all people fall short of God’s will. Sin separates us from God, one another, and creation. Yet God does not abandon us—through Jesus Christ, sin is forgiven, and life is made new.
- Grace & Faith – We are saved by God’s grace, not by our own efforts. Our response is to live in gratitude, faith, and service.
- Community – Faith is lived out together. In worship, sacraments (Baptism and the Lord’s Supper), and fellowship, we grow in love for God and neighbor.
- Justice & Mission – Following Christ’s example, we seek peace and justice, welcoming all people and working for the common good.
In all things, we affirm that “Jesus Christ is Lord,” and that we are called to glorify God in how we worship, learn, serve, and live together.
Online community guidelines
At Rose Run Presbyterian Church, we believe conversation matters. We welcome thoughtful discussion, honest questions and respectful disagreement across our online spaces. We ask all participants in our online community to engage one another with kindness, humility and respect. Our social media pages and comment sections should reflect the love of neighbor to which Christ calls us. Rose Run welcomes a diversity of perspectives. At the same time, we reserve the right to hide or delete comments that:
Directly attack, mock or harass individuals
Include vulgar, obscene, threatening or abusive language
Share confidential or private information
Spread spam, false or deceptive content
Include language that is libelous or defamatory
Include links to content containing any of the above
In addition, Rose Run may limit or remove comments that are repeatedly off-topic, disruptive to conversation, or focused primarily on individuals rather than the substance of the discussion.
Moderation decisions may take into account patterns of behavior over time, not just a single comment. If an individual repeatedly disrupts conversation, targets others or prevents constructive engagement within the community, Rose Run reserves the right to block that person from interacting with its online platforms. We are grateful for everyone who engages with our church online and hope these spaces can reflect the grace, curiosity and compassion we seek to practice together.
